Something Smells in the Office

And the vine grew and grew, choking all in its way –
So swift was its movement, so dark was the day,
Blame after blame until havoc exploded
A company coo-stew, “It’s not me! No, it’s you!

Negativity is an uncontrollable vine you can’t stop. An environmental virus spreading like a cancer. One that infects the entire office culture and can ruin a product, an idea, an ideal, a community, a company…and YOU.

Something SMELLS in the Office is a book of positive impact, a book that has already changed us, will surely change you, and we hope–with your help–will change countless others.

The Book

“SMELLS” stands for:
Simply Making Each Leader Lift Someone.

Something SMELLS in the Office encourages a positive, infectious office community, and what better way to do that, than through a positive, infectious little book.
Imagine your work is a castle of play. You joust and you juggle. You dance through your day!We partner for orders with passion and power. You’re all for each other, each tick of the hour!

Brevity is the soul of wit, and Dr. Seuss must have been the wit of the soul.  There is a great void now that he is no longer with us, but–as you might have already noticed–he inspires this story.  Something SMELLS in the Office is modeled after his work, a slim volume in Seussian rhyme scheme with accompanying pictures to boot.

Something SMELLS has already been written in full by Melissa G. Wilson, Craig S. Wilson, and Megan E. Morris, and many of the pictures have already been created by Martin Whitmore, but we need funding to produce physical copies of this book.
We are as fond of the e-book revolution as any one, but certain works of beauty still necessitate a physical presence.  This is one.  This is a book you will want to hand out to your team, one you can throw into welcome bags at conferences, that you can issue at orientations, or just present to every single new employee you hire to make them quickly understand your company ethos.

This only happens in the physical form. Stay tuned for more on this exciting new project.
